Transport Mervielde is further expanding its logistics services with a new filling warehouse
After completion of phase 1 of its new logistics site along the Ghent-Terneuzen Canal, Transport Mervielde in Ertvelde has started the next phase.
The new logistics site is a Seveso facility which consists of a parking area for ADR tank trucks and tank containers, a heating installation, installations for transferring liquids from ISO tank containers to tank trucks and a tank park. This site is now being expanded with a new filling warehouse.
The 5,000 m2 warehouse is equipped with automatic filling lines, whereby liquids from tank trucks and tank containers are directly repackaged into IBCs, barrels or smaller packages up to 1 litre. The filling lines have been developed according to the highest safety and environmental standards.
With these new activities, Mervielde can offer its customers a more extensive service at one location.
The construction of the new warehouse is progressing well and the first filling activities will take place there from the 1st of July 2023.
